Great news, sorry won't be able to help you out, we are carless.

We stayed at the Washington Municipal Marina in Michigan City, nice marina. Then crossed to Hammond Marina. If your height allows take the downtown Chicago route on the Sanitary canal (IL river). If you need any info on the route down, let me know.

Hope the survey gives her a good review.

OK Pier 11.  Pat and I have a contract on a boat.  It is a Gulfstar 44 MY located in Michigan City, Indiana.  The surveyors will give her the once over next week and if all is fine I need crew to help me bring her home.  Anyone interested?

Yes I know exactly what you mean.  Good luck in your search, there are alot out there now for sale, a buyers market.

Here is one you might want to look at.

Go out to Trawlers, there is a 40' Ocean Alexander from Hampton, IL for sale.

DAJARI II always has room for the Jones family. How about joining us next Saturaday for the Circle Raft up. I have a pilot but need someone to take a photo. Would you be interested? Our front stateroom is open if you want to stay overnight. After the photo we would arrange for you to join the raft up. If you do not want to take the photo we would love to have you, Pat and Tipsy join us. As Sandy stated you are all missede on Pier 11.

@Andrew and Sallyann

I am discovering that looking for a new TYPE of boat you have not owned before is like searching for a new house or a new pair of shoes ... you don't know exactly what you want or like until you actually see it.  The answer is it has to be good looking, thrifty of energy and in good shape.  Beyond that, I guess it must have that "love at first sight" quality if you know what I mean.  I expect we will look at several before we actually know what it is we really want.  Your help by sharing those that you know are for sale would certainly be welcomed.  Thanks.

Good luck in the search for a trawler.  You and Pat are missed very much on the Pier so find and boat to buy... Oh by the way Memphis keeps looking for Tipsy.  Have a great weekend. Hope to see you soon @ the lake.

What is your criteria for a Trawler? We know of 2 that are closer to you.

Hello everyone - Pat and I are still searching for a boat and it seems there is not much of a reason to come to Pier 11 with no boat in the slip.  In the meantime, if some of your friends need a place to dock for the weekend, feel free to use slip 12.  I am putting together travel plans to take a look at several trawlers, but is seems none are close.  North Carolina, Washington DC and Texas are just a few of the destinations.  This may take a while :-(  Hope to see you all soon...........
