July 20th – Caribbean Night – Sugar Bay, begins around 4:00 p.m.  Come anchor for the night off the beach at Sugar Bay.  Bring a pitcher of your favorite tropical drink and a tropical appetizer.   You will also probably want to bring chairs, cups, silverware, etc.

We will try and get to Sugar Bay early enough to snag the area off the beach. We will have two grandchildren with us that weekend so I can't guarantee how "early" early will be.  If someone else could  also head that way Saturday morning (or on Friday) we would have a better chance getting dibs on the beach area.  Whoever is first, please take some chairs, table, what ever you have to the beach to stake our claim.

Here is the Pier 4 schedule of events for this season.  Mark your calendars.  We have a couple of new events this year.

June 29 – Overnight trip to Barkley Lodge, Departure time TBA.  Motor to Barkley Lodge for an overnight anchorage.  We plan to eat dinner at the lodge.

July 20th – Caribbean Night – Most likely Sugar Bay, begins around 4:00 p.m.  Come anchor for the night off the beach at Sugar Bay.  Bring a pitcher of your favorite tropical drink and a tropical appetizer.   You will also probably want to bring chairs.

August 17 – Progressive Dinner on the dock.  This is also National Marina Day.  We will work our way down the dock eating and, if invited, taking tours of the boats.  The first third of the dock will provide appetizers; the middle third will serve salads, soups, or something similar; the last third will serve desserts.  If we time this right, we will reach the dessert part of the evening at the same time the GTB fireworks celebrating Marina Day begin.

October 19 – Soup Night on the dock.  Bring an appetizer or pot of soup.  Begins around 4:30 p.m.

Oh, what a shame - the Jernigans are coming.  Now the Guards will probably be there too.
